Guiding Insight,Meaningful Change

I am N. Busra Akcabozan Kayabol, an experienced counseling psychologist with extensive clinical experience with adults.

About Me

N. Busra Akcabozan Kayabol, Ph.D

Counseling Psychologist | NIP Psychologist | Associate Professor

I have always bridged two worlds: academia and practice. As a university professor, teaching, supervising, and conducting research in psychology continue to enrich my clinical work—bringing research-based insights directly into the therapy room.

As an expat myself, I understand the emotional complexity of building a life in a new country. Cultural transitions, identity shifts, relationship changes, and questions of belonging are not just professional interests—they are lived realities. This personal experience allows me to work with my international clients in a sensitive and profound way.

Based in Eindhoven, I offer online psychological counseling in English and Turkish to adults and couples across the Netherlands and internationally.

Therapeutic Orientation

I work with evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • EMDR
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Integrative and relational perspectives

At the core of my work lies a humanistic perspective. I believe that personal growth happens within a genuine, empathic, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. In the words of Irvin Yalom, “It is the relationship that heals”.

Each process is tailored to the individual. There is no “one-size-fits-all” therapy.

My Philosophy

I believe our stories are shaped by our relationships—with ourselves, with others, and with the world. Healing often begins when we feel understood, seen, and safe enough to explore what truly matters.

My role is NOT to tell you who to be or what to do. It is to walk alongside you as you discover new ways of connecting—with yourself, with others, and with your life.

You do not have to navigate this alone.
